Shoshana Aronowitz is a family nurse practitioner, PhD prepared nurse scientist, and a health services research fellow in the National Clinician Scholars Program at the University of Pennsylvania. She is Instagram Lead/Editor of Dear Pandemic. Her research interests are the intersections of criminal justice and health, harm reduction approaches to the opioid/overdose crisis, the provision of care outside of traditional healthcare settings, and racial disparities in care, specifically pain treatment. She feels passionately about making health and science information accessible for all. She received her bachelors degree from McGill University, her masters in nursing from the University of Vermont, and her PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. She is from Vermont and currently lives in Philadelphia, PA. She has two very smart cats who love helping her assemble harm reduction supplies for donation.
