Michelle Kinder, PhD

Michelle Kinder is an immunologist whose research has primarily focused on how to harness the immune system to fight cancer. She has worked in various roles within the pharmaceutical industry including discovery of novel immuno-oncology therapeutics, leading a preclinical translational research laboratory to develop deeper understanding of immune mechanisms and assessing biomarkers to immune therapies in clinical trials. She currently works as a Scientific Director within medical affairs at a pharmaceutical company in the Philadelphia area. Michelle has a passion for career development and is the co-founder and writer for www.womeninpharmacareers.com. Michelle received her Ph.D. in Immunology at University of Pennsylvania and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. She keeps busy watching her kindergartener play soccer and attempting to stop her cat from interrupting her zoom calls. In non-pandemic times, Michelle enjoys traveling and experiencing new cultures and foods with her husband.
