Katherine Cartwright, DO, MPH, Contributing Writer
Dr. Katherine Cartwright is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist currently in private practice. She received her undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences and sociology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She received her MPH at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health, where she concentrated in health education and reproductive epidemiology, with a research focus in health literacy. She attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University and then returned to SUNY Buffalo for her residency training in OB/GYN. Her clinical interests include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and full spectrum obstetric care. She has a particular interest in the integration of evidence-based medicine and patient education, both individually in the exam room and on a broader community health level.
Dr. Cartwright lives in Albany, New York with her husband and three young children. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoys endlessly listening to podcasts and audiobooks, traveling with friends, and patiently waiting for the Buffalo Bills to win a Super Bowl.
